Here are six ways my body kept changing and how I learned to give myself grace.
It’s impossible to think about November approaching without bracing yourself for the holiday and gifting season (seriously—Thanksgiving is a hop and skip away). That’s why this month, we’re focusing on all the new and upcoming beauty launches that make gift giving (and requesting) a lot easier. During this time of year, beauty aisles, both online and in-store, are legitimately like a candy store of never-ending possibilities for gifts—and we’ve scoured them all to narrow down our favorite ones to keep your eyes on for November.
Our favorites include haircare sets for your kitchen beautician friend, viral makeup products for beauty influencer in your crew, skincare for your friend who doesn’t play about their face and much more—all in cute, giftable formats. Let’s dive in ahead, shall we?
November’s Launches We Love
I am a huge fan of Peach and Lily skincare (specifically the Glass Skin Mist and Glass Skin Serum—both are *chef’s kiss* for plump, hydrated skin). This kit includes a deluxe travel-sized version of the Glass Skin Serum, Wild Dew Treatment Essence, and the Hydrating Gel Cleanser. You’ll also get a full-size Matcha Pudding Moisturizer, loaded with green tea antioxidants and niacinamide to protect and hydrate the skin (also ideal for cold temps!).
For a shimmery glow (that’s fitting for the holiday and beyond), pick up this set from Live Tinted, which includes the brand’s Hueglow Highlighter Drops in Dusk, which gives you a nice glow on the high points of your face and the new limited-edition Huegloss High-Shine Lip Gloss in Radiant for a glossy, sparkly shine on your lips.
This kit is a great value if you run through micellar water as quickly as I do and it comes with three travel-sized bottles to toss in all your travel bags. If you’re feeling generous, you can also share these with a friend (but if you keep them for yourself, I won’t judge).

This kit is a great opportunity to test out the brand Ranavat and features three bestsellers:
- Brightening Saffron Serum: made to help fade dark spots and discoloration—a great one to have in your rotation if you struggle with hyperpigmentation.
- Renewing Bakuchi Creme: a moisturizing cream also created to brighten the skin over time, while plumping and hydrating the skin’s barrier.
- The Fortifying Hair Serum: has amla oil, which is equally lightweight and hydrating to moisturize a dry scalp.
If you’re looking to dabble in new fragrances but aren’t ready to commit, we definitely recommend discovery sets like this one. It has ten Le Monde Gourmand Parfums (including Pistachio Brûlée and Crème Vanille, two of our favorites if you’re into a sweet, delectable vibe), so you can test them all before investing in full-sized bottles.
Ami Cole’s lip oil is a favorite amongst all my beauty editor friends—it’s lightweight, moisturizes your lips for hours, and won’t get stuck to your hair, scarf, etc. This holiday kit features two limited-edition shades of the popular lip oil: one with gold flecks of shimmer and one with silver so you can mix metals on your lips. Both have a super high shine and glossy finish that looks great on bare lips but adds some extra holiday cheer on top of red lipstick.

I recently big-chopped my hair to restart my curly hair journey, so you better believe I am hoarding this kit for myself. It has mini versions of Rizo‘s detangling mist, curl cream, and gel to define coils on the go. I’ve also taken a whiff of these, and they all have a delicious coconut scent that smells clean and refreshing—I can’t wait to try them.
Consider this kit your easy gateway to hair oiling: it has a full-size pre-wash hair oil, which you use as a treatment before washing your hair, and a mini post-wash smoothing oil, which you can use to smooth your hair. Both formulas are super moisturizing and have a cocktail of ashwagandha root, amla oil, and passion fruit oil to help your hair feel soft and shiny for hours.
This kit comes with a full-size and mini version of Snif’s Vanilla Vice—which, thank goodness, because it’s the only way I’d actually be inclined to share this perfume with someone else (I think I’ll give the mini one to my sister). If you love vanilla fragrances, you’ll adore this one, which is equally sweet and woodsy and has a blend of vanilla ice cream, cotton candy, amber wood, and musk. It starts sweet, then ends almost like a torched top of a creme brûlée treat—yum!

Remember: you don’t have to only play up your lips this holiday season. You can use a kit like this to achieve a fun eye look. It comes with a full-sized Stila black liquid eyeliner (which doesn’t smudge or budge) to assist with the perfect wing. It also includes a full-size silver gel eyeliner so you can add some sparkle to your eyes.
I get so many compliments when I wear Glamnetic press-on nails, mainly because they look like I got them done at the salon. I love this French tip set (in Rose Garden), which is perfect for adding festive flair to my nails this year without much hassle. In addition to this set, the brand also released seven new French-tip colors like tan, baby pink, and plum purple, so you’ve got options.
The tweens in my life love Bubble (thanks to TikTok), so I will be gifting each of them one of these ornaments as a one-and-done gift this year. Besides being incredibly cute in ornament format, it includes two versatile, easy-to-use bestsellers (the gel cleanser and hydrating moisturizer), so you can feel good about gifting this to someone who is 13 or 30 (I can confirm as a 30-year-old this combo leaves my skin feeling clean and plump).

Olaplex is one of those brands I will be unabashedly selfish about—sorry, not sorry. The brand has helped me resurrect limp, damaged hair numerous times, so I’ll be keeping this set for myself. For just $35, you get a lot, including a full-sized bonding oil (for long-lasting shine) plus trial sizes of the brand’s hero products, like the bond maintenance shampoo and conditioner, moisture mask, and more.
Fans of Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask will love this limited-edition holiday set, which features the OG lip mask in peppermint and a full-size glowy lip balm, also in candy cane. Both will give you balmy, pillow-soft lips when used together or separately.
I gave my mom this haircare kit; she hasn’t stopped raving about it. It’s a three-step routine: shampoo, conditioner, and scalp tonic (a fancy word for a liquid treatment) made to stimulate blood flow in the scalp and help hair appear thicker. My mom has years of color-treated and chemically damaged hair, and she says she loves the tingle she gets from the shampoo and conditioner and likes that the tonic feels hydrating and non-greasy.

I love the rollerball format of these tiny Nest Fragrances, which makes applying your scent(s) on the go super easy. This kit comes with three scents to choose from:
- Lychee Rose: (my personal favorite) a fruity-floral combo of lychee, pink champagne, and raspberry.
- Golden Nectar: a warmer floral with notes of golden orchid, amber, and vanilla.
- Indigo: an herby, woodsy blend of bergamot, Moroccan tea, and wild fig.
The body butter in this kit has been my go-to lately for quenching my dehydrated skin. It’s packed with squalane, hyaluronic acid, jojoba, and shea butter. It melts in easily and keeps me feeling moist and soft (it smells great, isn’t too greasy, and doesn’t stain my clothes—I love it). This kit comes with a travel-sized version of that cream, plus the brand’s Hydrate and Glow Mask, so you can toss both in your bag and hydrate from head to toe.
InnBeauty Project’s Lip Glaze is one of my favorite glosses: it’s creamy, high-shine, moisturizing, and non-sticky. The Candy Apple hue is my go-to, and this vault comes with that plus eight other colors, so you can mix and match, share, or hoard—whatever you’re feeling.

For the makeup lover in your life, pick up this Nars kit with two full-sized liquid blushes, including the OG, Orgasm, a shimmery coral, and Bubbly, a new petal pink shade you’ll only find in this gift.
After days of piling on curl-defining gels and mousse to sculpt my new pixie cut, I love incorporating these two products into my weekly routine. The exfoliating shampoo suds up nicely and uses activated charcoal, tea tree oil, and coconut oil to soothe, sop up dirt, and hydrate. The deep conditioning mask is a staple for me and softens and defines my curls, so styling afterward is a breeze.
Tarte’s viral Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump is the star of this vault, which features eight of the buttery, super-pigmented color balms, and two lip liners so you (or someone special) can customize the perfect lip combo.

Black cherry is winter’s hottest hue popping up in the beauty aisles, and Patrick Ta is the latest brand to get on board. The brand recently released two lipgloss duo sets (with two color options) just in time to gift the trendsetter on your list. This one features the Major Volume lip gloss in Headliner, a muted pink, and Main Stage, a deep cherry. You can wear them alone or on your favorite lipstick for a full, glossy finish.
Kenneth Cole recently released an underrated scent worth exploring for your stash if you love florals. It starts fruity with red apple before evolving into jasmine and vanilla bean hints. It’s perfect for day-to-night wear and layering with other similar floral notes.
If you’re unfamiliar with Pixi Fairy Lights, it’s a long-wearing shimmery eyeshadow that you can sheer out or build up for bold color—it’s been a makeup bag staple of ours for years now. In honor of the brand’s 25th anniversary, they’re releasing six limited-edition hues, all with the same reflective shine we love. The new shades range from subtle (like baby pink and silver shimmer) to bolder options (like deep plum and orange copper shimmer), so you can customize your holiday looks, whether you’re keeping it bold or dramatic.

I got to test this fragrance before its launch and can confirm it’s a delicious gourmand that feels perfect for winter, but it’s not your typical desserty scent (which I like). It opens up with notes of jasmine petals and saffron (so it’s floral and a tad spicy) but then melts into a sweet, creamy blend of raspberry, blonde woods, and sugar that smells sweet but still sophisticated.
Eos bottled its super soft, buttery hand lotion formulas into teeny gift-sized tubes in this kit. Each one has one of the brand’s delicious scents, including the viral Vanilla Cashmere (a musky vanilla), Fresh and Cozy (a crisp linen), and Coconut Waters (an aquatic blend of coconut and hibiscus). I particularly love that this box is only ten bucks, making it a great option for white elephant or Secret Santa gifting.
Dolce and Gabbana Beauty is releasing its new Lip Stylo right in time for all your holiday festivities. The super sleek lip color tubes are available in three formats (matte, sheer, and satin).
- Sheer lip stylo: Comes in 12 shades, and has the cushiony feel of a hydrating lip balm with the glowy shine of a gloss—it’s perfect for when you want a subtle wash of color.
- Satin lip stylo: Comes in 18 shades and has a bit more color payoff than the sheer option for a more noticeable hint of color that feels moisturizing.
- Matte lip stylo: Comes in 24 pigmented shades that go on opaque and buildable, but won’t feel drying on the lips.

Typology’s Essential Care gift set is a three-step routine suitable for various skin types. Inside the set (which also comes with a reusable pouch) is the brand’s Peppermint Hydrolate, a pore-tightening, energizing toner made with peppermint to perk up dull skin. It also comes with the radiance serum (formulated with 11 percent vitamin C) and its 9-ingredient moisturizer, a fragrance-free blend of ingredients like hyaluronic acid, coconut oil, and glycerin to quench your face if it feels dry.
